FAQ
How much does a Russian sable coat cost?
Coats in this collection run from $26,339 to $56,297. Price is driven by three things: the grade of the pelts, how many skins the length demands, and whether the piece is let out, which multiplies the hours of hand work. Barguzin sable from eastern Siberia sits at the top of the scale.
What is the difference between a full coat, a long coat and a half coat?
A half coat lands around the upper thigh, a coat falls to the knee, and a long coat continues below it. This collection holds all three. If you want something shorter, see Russian Sable Jackets.
Why is Russian sable more expensive than mink?
Sable is wild-sourced rather than farmed, the pelts are smaller so a coat needs more of them, and the fur is uniquely soft in every direction rather than having a single nap. The silver-tipped guard hairs that give sable its shimmer cannot be reproduced in any other fur.
What sizes do you make?
Sizes 36 to 50, hand-finished in Kastoria, Greece. We also take custom orders and made-to-measure commissions if you need something outside that range.
