Russian Sable Jackets

Shorter sable, cut at or just below the hip. Jackets use fewer skins than a coat, which makes them the most accessible way into Russian sable, and the easiest length to wear over trousers without swamping the leg. This collection includes bombers, short jackets and hip-length cuts.

More Russian sable: Coats, Capes, Vests, or the full Russian Sable collection.

FAQ

How much does a Russian sable jacket cost?

Jackets here run from $17,250 to $46,907, below the entry point for a full-length sable coat because a shorter garment needs fewer matched pelts. The saving is in quantity of skins, never in their grade.

Is a sable jacket warm enough for winter?

Yes. Sable has exceptionally dense underfur and traps air better than almost any other pelt, so a jacket is warm well below freezing. What a shorter cut gives up is coverage at the hip and thigh, not insulation.

What is a sable bomber jacket?

A bomber is cut with a stand collar, elasticated or banded hem and cuffs, and a relaxed body. It is the most modern silhouette we make in sable, and the one most often chosen by customers buying their first fur.

What sizes do you make?

Sizes 36 to 50, hand-built in our Kastoria atelier. Custom orders and made-to-measure are available.
