You send the cloth, the fur, where you want it and your measurements. We come back with a specification, a cloth weight for your climate and a price. Nothing is cut until you have agreed all three. Six to ten weeks. The lining monogram is complimentary.

FAQ
How do you wear a fur collar without it looking like a costume?
Keep everything else plain. A fur collar works when it is the only unusual thing you are wearing: dark trousers, a plain knit or a shirt and tie, simple shoes. Then proportion. The collar should finish at or just below the jaw, not swallow it. We cut men's collars narrower than the women's equivalents for exactly that reason.
Which fur works best as a collar?
Mink for most men. Short enough to sit flat on a lapel, dense enough to hold its shape, and close enough in colour to a charcoal or navy cloth that the coat reads as one garment. Swakara if you want the trim to look like an unusual fabric. Fox if you want it noticed.
Can I have the fur as a lining instead?
Yes, and it is warmer that way, because the fur sits against you rather than facing the weather. A fur-lined cashmere coat is invisible from the street. Some clients take both, with the lining made detachable for the worst of the winter.
What weight of cashmere should I choose?
It depends on where you will wear it, which is why we ask for your coldest city rather than guessing. A coat for London is a different cloth from a coat for Chicago, and since every coat is cut once there is no reason to compromise. If it is also carrying a full fur lining we go lighter on the shell to keep the weight sane.
What does it cost?
It depends on the cloth, the length and how much fur is involved, so we quote per commission rather than publish a figure that would be wrong for most people. A modest mink collar sits at one end, a fully fur-lined full-length coat at the other. Send a specification and we will give you a real number.
Do I have to come to Greece?
No. Most commissions are measured remotely: we send instructions, you send numbers and a few photographs. You are welcome at the Kastoria workshop if you are travelling, and a fitting in person will always beat one at a distance.
