FAQ
How much does a mink coat cost?
Mink jackets start around $3,510 in our collection. Full-length coats run considerably higher, and coats trimmed in Russian sable reach $19,790 and above. Price is driven by pelt grade, how many skins the garment needs, and how much hand-matching the design demands. See our full mink coat price breakdown.
What is the difference between male and female mink?
Male pelts are larger and heavier with denser underfur, so male coats are warmer, more durable and use fewer skins. Female pelts are smaller, lighter and silkier, which gives a more fluid drape. Female mink is generally more expensive because more skins and more matching labour go into each coat.
How long does a mink coat last?
Fifty years or more with proper care, meaning cool dark storage, annual professional cleaning and no heat exposure. A furrier can also reline, resize and replace individual pelts, which extends a coat well beyond its original life.
What does sheared or plucked mink mean?
Shearing trims the guard hairs back to reduce weight and create a velvet-like surface. Plucking removes them entirely. Both give a lighter, more modern texture, but they expose the absorbent underfur, so sheared and plucked pieces need more care in wet weather.
