Chinchilla in shorter cuts and lighter weights, for evenings rather than winters. Chinchilla is the softest fur there is and exceptionally light for its warmth, which makes it well suited to pieces worn over an outfit for a few hours rather than all day outdoors. These are capes, shrugs and cropped jackets. One thing worth knowing before buying: chinchilla has no protective guard hairs, so it handles cold beautifully and damp poorly, and it should be kept out of rain more carefully than mink or sable.
