Mink for milder weather: cropped jackets, vests, and sheared pieces where the guard hairs have been trimmed back to reduce weight and create a velvet surface. Sheared mink is roughly half the weight of a full-pile coat and reads as far more casual, which is why it has become the way most clients wear mink outside deep winter. Vests in particular solve the problem of wanting fur without wanting a coat. Every piece is hand-built in our Greek atelier. Note that sheared and plucked pieces expose the absorbent underfur, so they need more care in wet weather than a standard mink.
